Lumber Luggers

This product is all about moving ‘frequently used’ materials, such as long lumber and 4-foot by 8-foot sheet materials like plywood, siding panels, et cetera, which cannot be moved by readily available ‘typical’ transporters such as hand trucks, wheelbarrows, or wagons.

Lowes & Home Depot have very useful carts for their customers to use at their stores. But those carts would not be practical for home or job site use. They take up too much space for most homeowners to store; and they are way too large & heavy to load onto trucks for use at job sites. Those carts have relatively small, narrow, & hard wheels, which are fine for paved, flat surfaces, but practically useless on earthen, gravel, or uneven surfaces.

Lumber Luggers have large, wide, air cushioned wheels which are great for have large, wide, air cushioned wheels which are great for unpaved, sloping, & uneven surfaces.

When materials are placed evenly, centered, over the wheels & axle, the user doesn’t have to strain any muscles, back, or neck to support the balanced load. Long ‘handlebars’ provide a lot of leverage for the balanced load. The cushioned wheels bear most of the weight of the materials – not the Lumber Lugger user.

Of course, the Lumber Lugger is not limited to building materials. It’s designed to handle long narrow loads of any kind. If the user intends to use the handlebars, length of the load is limited to 12-foot-long loads. A longer load is possible simply by not using the handlebars.

With handlebars removed the ‘un-extended’ 40-foot extension ladder above becomes a 20-foot-long load for the Lumber Lugger and is very easily transported by one person pushing or pulling from either end. Without the Lugger, the ladder is quite a heavy load and is very awkward to carry & maneuver by oneself.

Longer than 12-foot building materials could be handled in the same way – trusses, top rails of chain link fence.
